Set amongst the tea estates of Eastern Highlands Plantations in the HondeValley and tropical riparian forest this unique lodge has got to be one of Zimbabwe's best kept travel secrets.

Apart from the wonderful service and facilities at the Lodge there are guides on hand to take guests horse riding on the many trails surrounding the Lodge, canoeing and fishing on the Wamba Dam and on forest walks. Guided tours of the Wamba tea factory and hydro electricity plant can be organised. Special mention must be made of the birding as Aberfoyle is unique in its amazing variety of avifauna.

The estate can be reached from the Juliasdale-Mutare road, tar all the way down the Manga Pass, into the Honde Valley, passing the 500m Mtarazi Falls, the country’s highest falls, and on past Hauna growth point. The final six kilometers are on a gravel road.  Travel to Aberfoyle from Harare should take approximately five hours.

The lodge provides luxury accommodation for up to 36 guests and is the ideal venue for family reunions, small conferences or as a quiet getaway. Affordable meals are served all day from the restaurant whilst the well stocked bar will keep even the thirstiest guest well hydrated and cool in the heat of the Honde Valley. The lodge boasts a 9 hole golf course, swimming pool, squash court, table tennis, darts, pub, snooker room, lounge and soon will introduce dstv.
